About the Role
Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies is seeking a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Leader to support and enhance workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Roanoke, Texas. This onsite role will drive a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards, promoting an environment where safety is a core value across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to align stakeholders, drive collaboration, and ensure successful execution of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives.
- Champion a positive HSE culture by proactively promoting safe behaviors, environmental responsibility, and compliance across the site.
- Engage employees and gather actionable feedback to design and implement programs, policies, and procedures that enhance the work environment and employee experience.
- Lead data-driven hazard identification and risk assessment efforts, including Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA), prioritizing improvement projects based on impact, compliance requirements, and business risk.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations, including near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace risks.
- Drive project execution from concept through implementation by establishing clear goals, timelines, and milestones while tracking progress and performance metrics.
- Ensure operational and financial discipline by monitoring project costs, risks, and resource allocation, and resolving issues proactively to maintain project success.
- Deliver continuous improvement by applying Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodologies and leveraging audit data, compliance findings, and performance insights to reduce risk.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs, support emergency preparedness activities, and monitor safety performance metrics in partnership with production, maintenance, engineering, and plant leadership teams.
- Strengthen organizational capability by coaching stakeholders on HSE processes, maintaining compliant regulatory documentation, supporting environmental health and safety management systems, and introducing innovative solutions aligned with emerging industry trends.
- Integrate safety requirements into daily operations and capital projects.

- Technical Expertise: Apply strong technical HSE and project management expertise by leading risk assessments, conducting root cause analysis, managing projects effectively, influencing safety culture, and using performance data to drive measurable improvements.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- Demonstrated role competence is required.
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in a relevant health, safety, or environmental discipline is preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience required, including project management.
- Experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred.
