We're growing! E.A. Young Academy is an independent, K-12 school designed to empower gifted and talented scholars to fully develop their talents and abilities. At E.A Young Academy, we don't fill buckets; we light fires. Our small classes are our superpower, and we know every scholar by name, by laugh, and by what lights them up.

This is a place where curiosity is currency and where feeling safe to take risks is part of the adventure. That is why our project-based approach feels more like a fun, creative studio than a classroom, and why big ideas, deep dives, and occasionally getting gloriously messy are all part of the plan.

At E.A Young Academy, you will find thinkers, makers, question-askers, problem-solvers, and the occasional joyful troublemaker: students and teachers alike. By the time our scholars step into the world, they have learned not only how to think boldly and create fearlessly, but also how to stand for what matters and stand with others. Because the world does not need more people who can memorize answers; it needs more people who ask the right questions.

The E.A. Young Academy Faculty member plays a vital role in nurturing the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each scholar. Faculty members guide inquiry-driven learning experiences that blend rigor, relevance, and creativity, empowering scholars to think critically, act compassionately, and engage purposefully in a complex world.

• Direct classroom activities, collaborate on scholar needs, evaluate progress, and design ongoing program improvements.
• Manage individualized learning experiences, goal-setting and assessment.
• Integrate projects, research, fieldwork, and service-learning into a cohesive, standards-based program.
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and innovation within established policies and goals.
• Model E.A. Young Academy's Collective Promise and uphold the school's mission and values

• Employ differentiation strategies to promote scholar engagement and achievement.
• Inspire scholars to produce high-quality work that demonstrates mastery and creativity.
• Develop meaningful relationships and vibrant learning communities with scholars, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate on curriculum design and program development to ensure alignment with EAYA standards and goals.
• Use scholar data to identify learning needs, adjust instruction, and measure growth.
• Communicate progress through clear, consistent feedback and reports.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, committees, and professional learning opportunities.
• Contribute to ongoing school improvement initiatives.
• Fulfill additional duties as needed to advance the mission of E.A. Young Academy.

• Demonstrated expertise in subject area and understanding of gifted, talented, and high-ability learners.
• Deep knowledge of pedagogy and current developments in gifted education.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Classroom teaching experience with gifted, talented, or high-ability scholars strongly desired.
