Position Overview:

Join our Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) District as we have an immediate opening for a dynamic Geotechnical Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in expanding our Geotechnical Design Group, specifically within the infrastructure sector. A strong technical background and excellent communication skills as well as an ability to work well in a team environment are considered critical to this position.

You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.

This position is based out of our Westlake, TX or Lenexa, KS office and includes travel to project offices as needed. Responsibilities:
The Geotechnical Engineer will utilize geotechnical engineering knowledge to complete technical engineering assignments in support of Kiewit Corporation business, including: providing project support during the proposal/bid phase working with various team members to identify and evaluate innovative and cost-effective design solutions to geotechnical problems and challenges. Working with the pursuit team during the proposal/bid phase to help identify key design risks and develop plans to mitigate risks.

Working on EPC/design-build projects to develop design recommendations, produce design deliverables, and potentially serve as geotechnical lead or project manager.

Qualifications:

Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field, required. 7+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience in the U.S. infrastructure markets.
