Position: Supervisor - Event Room Set Up

Job Summary

Event Set Up Supervisor at Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center. Responsible for supervising the Event Set Up team, ensuring all ballrooms and meeting rooms are clean, set up, and free of trash, coordinating daily tasks, and completing end of shift reports.

Key Responsibilities

The Event Set Up Supervisor will:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the Event Set Up team.
  • Supervise and coordinate the set‑up and breakdown of all meeting room/function space for business meetings and catering events.
  • Ensure client requirements and standards are met or exceeded.
  • Assist attendants with duties requiring lifting up to 75 lbs. and pushing table carts up to 800 lbs.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and other department managers.
  • Perform daily quality control checks and report needed repairs or maintenance.
  • Conduct daily stand‑ups with operational teams to capture changes and needs for groups on site.
  • Complete required paperwork and prepare set‑up program agendas.
Qualifications
  • Preferred experience as a departmental trainer or supervisor.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 70+ pounds.
  • Ability to walk for long periods, averaging 17,000–25,000 steps per shift.
  • Housekeeping experience desirable.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Compensation

Pay rate: $21 per hour. Position is full‑time, 1st shift.
