Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Assists with the successful rollout of new products by coordinating the activities required for launch and ongoing support. Advocates for production stability and supportability by working directly with engineering teams to find opportunities for improvements.

Salary: $67 - $68 per hour
Work hours: 8am to 5pm
Education: Bachelors

• Proven technical background with Linux, Oracle databases, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.
• A proven grasp of AWS! Certification is a plus.
• You have a good understanding of Snowflake. Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk.
• Experience with batch scheduling software (e.g. Autosys/Control-M) and ETL processing.
• Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Informatica or similar ETL tool - debugging and addressing failures.
• Experience with automated deployment tools & techniques (e.g. Jenkins).
• Familiarity with event driven architecture (e.g. Apache Kafka).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Knowledge of Dev Ops and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation.
• Knowledge of basic networking (ping, trace route, DNS, routing) (F5 or AVI experience a plus).

Supports a portfolio of critical applications running in a sophisticated, globally distributed environment.

Coordinates the planning and successful execution of special events and projects.

Participates in an on-call rotation with other members of the team to provide outstanding support to our customers.
