Job Description
Senior Systems Services and Support Analyst – part of the Mainframe Security team responsible for safeguarding Fidelity’s core transaction-processing platforms.
RoleThe Senior Systems Services and Support Analyst ensures the day‑to‑day and long‑term security needs of the mainframe environment, maintaining identity controls, system configurations, access provisioning, monitoring functions, and compliance.
Expertise and Skills- Minimum of 3 years of Top Secret Administration experience
- College degree in Computer Science or another IT related field (Preferred)
- Programming/scripting experience with JCL, Python, REXX, Unix Shell, SQL, and PHP
- Knowledge of Information Security Principles (Preferred)
- Experience in Dev Ops
- Knowledge of z/OS, including security management with CA Top Secret
- Familiarity with CA Compliance Manager, CA Cleanup and CA Compliance Information Analysis products
- Self-starter capable of working independently or as part of a team
- IT troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of ITSM processes
- In-depth understanding of mainframe systems and interworking components
- Cross-platform technical skills (MVS, Cloud)
- Strong customer service skills, able to collaborate with development teams and individual users
- Experience in a rotational, on-call 24x7 team
- Forward-thinking, continuous improvement mindset
- Reporting and data analysis to support the enterprise ITSM function
- Dashboards and data solutions development for enterprise data visibility
- Process definition, standards, KPI maintenance, and alignment
- Audit process definition and continuous improvement; monitor and review periodic audits
- Training of junior staff
- Protection of mainframe sensitive customer and corporate data
- Support for critical business functions
- Compliance with security standards
- Expert access and identity control
- Operational stability and incident support
- Preservation of specialized mainframe security skills
