Service Now Developer
Location:
Westlake, TX. Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day administration of Service Now instances, including changes to process, workflows and items, building reports, managing data, personalizing lists, content management
- Design, prototype, implement, and test technical solutions for Service Now implementations
- Develop custom integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.) and integrate legacy systems with Service Now using mid-server, web services, email and other relevant technologies
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
- Create and use update sets to move customizations between Service Now instances
- Perform installation and testing of vendor-provided updates and new releases
- Provide technical support and answer "how to" technical and application configuration questions
Skills/Knowledge:
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of the Service Now platform with special emphasis on Asset Management / Software Asset Mgmt and Configuration Management
- Knowledge of Business DNA libraries and software is preferred
- Proven success in implementing enterprise Service Now implementations
- Knowledge and understanding of software architecture principles, specifically for portals, web sites and systems integration projects
- Demonstrated strong knowledge in the following:
- Java & JavaScript, AJAX and Jelly
- HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS
- Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)
- Relational databases and SQL
- Demonstrated project execution skills and experience working directly with customers and clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision under deadlines
Education and Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience with large-scale systems development
- 3-5 years of experience implementing and administrating Service Now solutions
- Experience with Cloud / Virtualized / SaaS implementations
- Service Now Administrator Certification and/or Service Now Implementation Specialist Certifications a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field
