Project/Team Overview:
This Chapter area is focused on customer communications: "Stem" side is image management system--older system/workflow central management platform with a massive database that houses images from customer documents (opening accounts, investments transfers, etc). Reviews docs to validate users, also calls APIs to retrieve docs from other business units. Other side of the business is the Customer Archive: houses all archived data from direct customer communications.

Multi-petabyte database. Most of the applications associated with these platforms are legacy--some on mainframe, 2-3 are in various stages of pipeline and AWS cloud deployment (1.0 state is Udeploy, ideal state is Terraform).

Stan has devs on 3 squads--18 total reporting to him

This squad's team size: 6 developers (2 are L5 the rest are L3ish), Scrum Master, QA, Squad Lead (will be dealing with every day), and Stan is the Tech Manager over this squad and 2 others.

Tech Stack:
Angular, Typescript, Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, AWS, EC2, S3, Cloud formation, Terraform

Must Have:

• Modern UI experience (Angular preferred, React.js/Vue.js okay)
• Strong Java (Java 8, multithreading, collections)
• Spring Boot
• REST APIs
• AWS experience: S3, EC2, Cloud Formation
• Junit

Nice to Have:

• Terraform
• AWS infrastructure and security, Route 53
• Node.js

Soft Skills:

Strong personality and excellent communication. Need to communicate complex concepts succinctly and fully.

Level/Years of

Experience:

Minimum 7 years. Technical lead type position. Needs to know how to code, but not a heads down type of person. Will be responsible for leading the team as far as knowing enough to delegate and making sure things are done right. Supervising multiple individuals--deliverables are being met. Instilling and reinforcing best practices.
