Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain. The Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing supply plans to support a diverse portfolio of consumer products. This role ensures high product availability while optimizing inventory, managing supplier lead times, and mitigating supply risks in a global sourcing environment. The position plays a key role in aligning demand forecasts with supply capabilities and driving operational excellence across the supply chain.
EssentialDuties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Support organizational goals to ensure delivery of products on time.
- Manage vendor relationships to meet financial and production requirements.
- Provide analytical and direct support to Brand and NPD team.
- Identify opportunities for inventory reduction through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and analyze details of pricing, MOQ, lead time and terms and conditions for each supplier in the system.
- Recommend changes to supplier teams through coordination with cross functional teams.
- Identify potential delivery obstacles including product development, production and shipping delays and report those challenges to leadership.
- Conduct risk assessment and mitigation activities related to production and shipping.
- Quantify and define scope for capacity, resource, logistics and supply chain planning.
- Run and analyze S&OP Supply Reviews, as well as prepare data and matrixes for review to identify potential gaps and generate solutions for analysis to guide final decision making on open items and trade offs.
- Ensue company sale requirements for products meet SLA’s.
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure accurate product placement and timing.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience, including a role of similar responsibility/scale, in supply chain, operations, or a related field within consumer products industry.
- BA/BS degree in a supply chain, logistics, business, technical, or equivalent discipline.
- Strong internal-customer orientation and sense of urgency.
- Experience in end-to-end supply chain management involving distribution, inventory management, and project management.
- Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze Supply Chain Management (SCM) problems to develop and implement solutions.
- Passion to drive continuous improvement through identification of root-cause solutions to key business problems.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle rapid increases in workload due to seasonal demands.
- Familiar with Great Plain and/ or Kette
Q forecasting software/ order management system is strongly preferred. - Strong technical skills in MS Excel, and other MS office tools.
- Experience in electronic products is a plus.
