Fabrication Associate

Surestaff is immediately hiring Fabrication Associates for a large, well-known client in Roanoke, TX. As a Fabrication Associate, you will be an essential part of our client's manufacturing team, responsible for loading and unloading Trumpf laser machines and performing precision fabrication tasks to produce high-quality metal components. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

The Fabrication Associate is responsible for operating production equipment, interpreting blueprints and specifications, verifying dimensions and tolerances, and ensuring all parts meet engineering and production requirements. Ideal candidates will have previous CNC machining or fabrication experience, strong math and measuring skills, and a commitment to producing quality work.

Shift:

  • Monday – Thursday
  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Overtime may be available based on production needs.

Responsibilities of the Fabrication Associate:

  • Load and unload Trumpf laser machines.
  • Operate production equipment to cut production parts according to production schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, models, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Follow all manufacturing standard work processes and quality procedures.
  • Calculate cutting speeds, feeds, angles, offsets, and other machining requirements.
  • Fabricate components using steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals established by the Production Supervisor.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet engineering specifications.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and tooling changes as required.
  • Complete manual and electronic production documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety regulations.

Required Qualifications of the Fabrication Associate:

  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machining, fabrication, or related manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work with close tolerances while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
