POSITION SUMMARY:
The manufacturing engineering technician reports to the manufacturing engineering manager and is responsible primarily for assisting the manufacturing engineering staff with the calculation, analysis, design, testing, evaluation, and implementation for successful completion of various improvement projects in the production and fabrication lines. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes, methods, quality, and controls in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Manufacturing Engineers with production line improvements, workstation optimization, and process documentation. Assistin developing, updating, andmaintainingwork instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing process documentation. Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing and quality performance data. Perform product and process inspections to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. Assistin root cause analysis investigations using problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.Support corrective and preventive action activities and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. Assist with validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Support nonconformance management activities, including documentation, containment, disposition, and tracking. Coordinate calibration activities for inspection and measurement equipment as required. Support new product introduction activities through manufacturing readiness and quality verification. Perform process audits and ensure compliance with company procedures and quality management systems.
Collaborate with production personnel to resolve manufacturing and quality issuesin a timely manner. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Quality Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Technology, ora related technical field preferred.High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of experience inamanufacturing, engineering, quality, or technical support environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with production processes, inspection methods, and quality systems is preferred.
