Primary Care Nurse Practitioner – Roanoke, Texas
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care Team in Roanoke, Texas. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered care across all life spans within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Your RoleAs a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients while working closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities, selecting appropriate treatment alternatives and medications while considering preventive health‑care measures.
- Employ practices, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Utilize critical thinking and complex problem‑solving skills to manage patients’ care plans.
- Operate computers and related software applications to document patient information and manage care plans.
- Develop and implement comprehensive outcomes‑based treatment plans for patients.
- Provide counseling to patients about medical and psychological conditions, treatment options, and behavior modification strategies.
- Interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to guide patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a primary care Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain one).
- Texas RN licensure or RN licensure with compact privilege from a state that is party to the Nurse Licensure Compact for RNs and LVNs & Texas APRN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
