Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Provide exceptional care across all life spans, assess, diagnose, treat, educate patients, collaborate with professionals, ensure comprehensive care and best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, deformities including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties, interactions, and preventive health‑care measures.
- Practice methods for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.
- Communicate verbally and in writing.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and complex problem‑solving skills.
- Use computers and related software applications.
- Develop and implement comprehensive outcomes‑based patient treatment plans.
- Counsel patients about medical and psychological/psychiatric conditions, treatment plans, behavior modification.
- Interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- 2 years experience as a primary care Nurse Practitioner.
- Certified primary care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain one).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Texas RN licensure or RN licensure with compact privilege from a state that is party to the Nurse Licensure Compact for RNs and LVNs & Texas APRN; current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- National Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty.
