Job Summary

Mount Regis Recovery, located in Salem, VA, is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to staff Mount Regis Center, a 68‑bed, licensed, fully accredited drug and alcohol treatment facility.

Full‑time, days: 7:00 am–7:00 pm. Shifts range from 3 to 12 hours with an every‑other‑weekend rotation.

• Pay range: $24.50 – $39.16 per hour.
• Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 for full‑time hires.

Mount Regis Center offers empirically validated treatment methods, including detox, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services for adults 18+.

Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined by the state Nursing Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times and prioritize patient safety.

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care using the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
• Model excellent customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety.
• Collaborate with others to ensure patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, developmental, and cultural needs are met and address complaints when they arise.
• Provide basic comfort and implement individualized nursing interventions from the care plan.
• Apply appropriate interventions to progress patients toward wellness and maintain wellness.
• Discuss care with patients, listen to concerns, and report status changes to registered nurses and physicians.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in care.
• Safely administer medication in compliance with policies, procedures, physicians’ orders, and current practice.
• Maintain professional nursing practice standards in accordance with facility policy, external mandates, performance‑improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
• Document patient symptoms, responses, and progress accurately and thoroughly.

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• One or more years of nursing experience in the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.

• Current LPN/LVN license required by state.
• CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
