Job Details

Barista Position – part‑time, flexible schedule, located in Roanoke, TX (Roanoke Church Community). The Coffee Shop provides a unique environment where baristas serve delicious beverages while building relationships with customers and fellow team members.

Available to work flexible hours based on services and special events.

A committed Christian comfortable working in a church environment and holding similar beliefs. Commitment to the organization’s mission and values is required.

• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of Compass.
• Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues and communicate needed information to management.
• Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching when needed.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
• Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer‑first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discover and respond to customer needs.
• Follow operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety and security, to ensure partner safety during each shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace so partners can locate resources and product as needed.
• Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational methods.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

No previous experience required.

$12.00 per hour.

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security.
• Engage with and understand customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
• Comply with a dress code.
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients.
• Be available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
