As a Principal Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Scrum team, working closely with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Architects. Your role will involve crafting, building, testing, and delivering features that enhance our digital platforms. We value creativity, critical thinking, and a sense of humor in our team members.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70 - $75 / hr. w2
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and scale large applications using SOA / REST architectures with Java, NodeJS, KeelJS, with a focus on event driven and micro architectures which can be built at scaled and decoupled
- Define documentation and support and maintain enterprise level technologies
- Work as needed to troubleshoot production and non-production issues throughout design and development stages, including testing, Dev Ops, Cloud, and front end (Angular/Type Script) as needed, up to about 40% of the time for front end with 60% of your work being focused on Spring Boot, Java, REST API, and work with NodeJS, KeelJS, and AWS as needed
- 10+ years of progressive experience, with previous roles being either senior, principal, or lead level (no hand holding in this role, we require someone to hit the ground running)
- Proven experiences building functional software on time, consistently, and with a high level of accountability and ownership throughout the process during sprints and releases
- Able to work with AWS technologies (proven abilities with either ECS, S3, Lambda, API gateway, Kubernetes/Containers, or other serverless or hybrid deployments in an AWS environment, AWS certifications are great to have
- 5+ years of recent AND modern Angular experience (Type Script, our team supports Angular
15+)
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent science/STEM/Engineering degree is required
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
