Mainframe Developer (Hybrid, Dallas, TX area) W2 Area
Required Skills:
- 7-10 years of software development experience in business-critical, enterprise applications
- Expert in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, FileAID, Endevor, SQL, Debuggers, Schedulers, and IOMs
- Proven ability to analyze and enhance batch and online environments
- Experience in deploying and supporting software releases into production
- Strong data security skills to safeguard customer information
- Exceptional documentation and testing capabilities
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving high-severity production issues
- Proficiency in writing COBOL and native stored procedures (a plus)
- Familiarity with distributed technologies such as Java and RESTful APIs (a plus)
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, especially in hybrid mainframe-cloud scenarios (a plus)
Skills:
- Java and service-based architecture experience
- Cloud platform experience, such as AWS or Azure
- Additional automation and scripting skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
- Extensive experience in mainframe development, ideally 7+ years in enterprise environments
Estimated Min Rate: $43.40
Estimated Max Rate: $62.00
