Mainframe Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support software releases into production environments
• Employ your data security skills to keep customers’ information safe
• Identify the root cause of problems and design and implement technical solutions to address them

• BS/BA or advanced degree, or equivalent experience preferred
• 7‑10 years of software development experience in business‑critical, enterprise‑wide applications
• Experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, IBM utilities, FileAID, Endevor, SQL, debuggers, schedulers, and IOMs
• Experience handling high severity/critical production issues
• Excellent documentation skills
• Experience writing COBOL/native stored procedures is a plus (nice to have/willing to learn)
• Experience with distributed technologies such as Java and service‑based architecture via RESTful APIs (nice to have/willing to learn)
• Detail‑oriented and execute thorough unit, functional and regression testing
• Ability to perform hands‑on detailed analysis
• Proactive in development and solution design
• Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and enhancement projects in batch and online environments
• Excellent mainframe development skills in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, IBM utilities, FileAID, Endevor, SQL, debuggers, schedulers, and IOMs

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
