Software Quality Engineer

Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) is seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to drive the strategy and implementation of testing for web applications and APIs used by investment professionals. The role involves establishing automation infrastructure, maintaining existing automation, and creating reusable test artifacts to streamline testing processes and ensure application quality in an Agile Scrum environment.

Core responsibilities and expertise required include:

• Quality engineering experience with complex enterprise web applications and APIs, including test analysis, design, development, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Experience and knowledge across both QA Engineering and Software Development principles.
• Hands-on experience using a Selenium / Serenity automation framework (Java-based) is required.
• Playwright experience is required per internal notes.
• Proficiency in professional software development skills and practices: coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, design patterns, and Object-Oriented Design and Development.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum software development methodology.
• Experience leveraging Git Hub Copilot or other generative AI tools to increase testing efficiency and quality.
• Database experience working with SQL and No

• Familiarity or experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD);
  Gherkin experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participation in refinement of User Stories, QA-related tasks, test cases, functional automation, product demos, logging defects, and production release deployment verification.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a team-player mindset.

Education requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
