Senior Accountant

Our client, a long-standing, financially stable, publicly traded company in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this onsite position offers exposure to SEC reporting, technical accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and external audits within a collaborative environment that values long‑term employee development.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Participate in the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyze variances
• Assist with SEC reporting and technical accounting research
• Support the annual external audit
• Assist with internal control testing and process improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Participate in special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• CPA preferred
• Public company or SEC reporting experience is a plus
• Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is a plus

This is a fully onsite position reporting to the Director of Finance in Roanoke, VA.
