Tax Preparer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to support individuals and clients with accurate, timely tax filings. This position is well suited to someone who combines technical tax knowledge with a thorough, client-focused approach. The ideal candidate brings experience from tax, audit, or public accounting environments and is comfortable using industry software to manage return preparation efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns with close attention to accuracy, compliance, and filing deadlines.
• Meet with clients to gather financial information, clarify tax-related questions, and provide a high-quality service experience.
• Apply current tax rules and regulations to assess documentation and complete returns correctly.
• Use tax preparation platforms, including Lacerte and other Intuit-based tools, to organize data and finalize filings.
• Examine supporting records for completeness and identify discrepancies or missing information before submission.
• Coordinate with internal team members or related stakeholders to resolve tax issues and support audit or accounting matters when needed.
• Maintain organized client files and documentation in accordance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
