Accounts Receivable Clerk

• Base Pay $16.00 - $18.00 / Hour

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and looking to build your career in accounting? We are seeking a dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for ensuring customer payments are processed accurately, account balances are reconciled, and customer accounts are maintained with a high level of accuracy.

• Post customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions
• Update and maintain accounts receivable records
• Reconcile daily cash sales and outstanding balances
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by working with customers and internal departments
• Research and resolve unidentified customer account balances
• Process authorized account adjustments
• Monitor customer payment history and assist with collections
• Contact customers regarding outstanding balances when needed
• Respond to management inquiries regarding customer accounts
• Work closely with department managers to ensure documentation is complete and submitted on time

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous accounts receivable or accounting experience preferred
• Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
