Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring Front Desk /Clerical Receptionists on behalf of our client, a public housing agency serving the Roanoke, Virginia area. This position is the first point of contact at theclient's front office, greeting and communicating with prospective residents and visitors, operating a multi-line telephone system, and providing generalclerical support. You will be employed and paid by DTLC and assigned on-sitewith our client.
- Greet and communicate professionally with prospective residents,current residents, visitors, vendors, and staff arriving at the front office.
- Operate a multi-line telephone system: answer, screen, route, and transfer calls; take and deliver accurate messages.
- Respond to general inquiries and direct visitors to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Provide general clerical and office support, including data entry,photocopying, scanning, and document preparation.
- Prepare and edit documents and correspondence using Microsoft Word.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries;prepare outgoing mail.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Maintain sign-in logs, appointment schedules, and visitor records.
- Support filing, recordkeeping, and general administrative tasks as assigned.
- Handle confidential resident and agency information appropriately;do not disseminate or disclose information to the general public, news media,or any person or organization without prior express written approval.
- Comply with all applicable client policies and procedures,including reading and acknowledging policies provided by the assigned department.
- Submit a completed time card at the end of each work week documenting days and hours worked.
- Remain available for the entire length of the assignment.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Experience operating multi-line telephone systems.
- Demonstrated ability to greet and communicate effectively with prospective residents and visitors to a front office.
- General office skills.
- Microsoft Word experience is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia Motor Vehicle Operator's license OR a valid state-issued identification card.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Available to work 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., five (5) days per week,plus weekend and overtime work as needed.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with orwithout reasonable accommodation.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verified through E-Verify.
- Prior front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience ina government, public housing authority, nonprofit, medical, or property management setting.
- Experience serving a diverse public in a high-volume walk-in environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
If the placement holds a valid Virginia driver's license and maybe considered for regular employment with the client, the DMV record standards applied to driving positions will apply. The client reserves the right to waive driving requirements for temporary placements who will not be considered for regular employment; if waived, the placement will not be permitted to drive anyclient-owned vehicle.
All candidates must successfully complete the following before the assignment begins. DTLC arranges and administers this screening at no costto the candidate.
- 5-Panel Drug Screening. Candidates who refuse to submit to drug screening, or who fail adrug screen (excluding certified medical situations), cannot be referred for assignment.
- National Sex Offender Registry check. Individuals registered as sex offenders cannot be referred for assignment.
- Criminal background check , including a Commonwealth of Virginia Court Online Case Information System county background check and a national background check,covering felony and misdemeanor convictions, guilty pleas, and no-contest pleas. A criminal record does not automatically disqualify a candidate; each record is reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine whether the criminal activity is substantially related to the functions of the assignment.
- Written verification that all pre-assignment requirements havebeen met is submitted to the client's hiring agent prior to assignment.

Primarily sedentary work at a reception desk with frequent use ofa computer, keyboard, and multi-line telephone.
Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and filing.
