Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Hopkins | Lacy, the mechanical, electrical, plumbing division of Branchis searching for an experienced, detail-oriented and organized Project Manager to join our well-established, growing company.
The Project Manager advises onall operational and management activities on projects theyare responsible for.
This position works closely with the projectleadershipand staffto ensure overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects.
Overseesorparticipatesin the allocation of resources to ensure a safe,timely, and quality project while meeting all project goals. The Project Manageris the primary contact withowner’s representative(s),subcontractors,suppliers and other company departments/personnel and pursues exemplary business
- Assistin managing, training, and mentoringtheprojectstaff
- Assistand adviseonbusiness functions includingworkforcemanagement, contracting strategies, and financial management
- May support preconstruction activities
- Assistindevelopingnew business opportunitiesrelativeto a client or group of clients and fosters positive owner relationships
- Authority on contract between theowner,general contractor, and Hopkins | Lacyto ensure effective project administration
- Responsible for all aspects of the project’s contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development
- Responsible for profit margins and fully manages all financial aspects of assigned construction project(s)
- Collaboratively aid in thetimelydrafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders
- Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay requisitions
- Responsible for schedule development and updates in conjunction with the project staff
- Responsible for preparation of monthly project financial projections and reports
- Prepare and review payment requisitions, communicates changes, and reports projects financial status monthly
- Develop an effective plan and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent for constructing the project andhelpsdeterminethe means and methods necessary to meet project goals
- Adhere to the terms of the contract, assures quality, minimizes costs, and promotes safety
Required Qualifications /
Education:
- Associatesdegreein engineering, construction management, or related field
- 5or more yearsofindustry
Project Management experience (Project Engineer experience does not count) inprojectsover $2M+ - Experience using P6 scheduling software, MS Office,Financial software and/ or Project Management software
- Must have PM experience running multiple projects at one time
- Hasmanagedmultiple site projects
- Proven experience managing project teams to successful outcomes
Preferred Qualifications /
Education:
- Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering/Constructionor related field
- Significant experience as a tradesperson

This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary.
Supervisory ResponsibilityDirectly supervises two to three employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will also work on the construction job site.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions atconstructionjobsites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee isfrequentlyexposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanicalpartsand vibration.
