Position: Recreation Assistant- Front Desk Attendant (Eureka Recreation Center)

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and serve as the primary point of contact at the Eureka Recreation Center.
  • Provide information about programs, activities, and facility usage.
  • Assist with registrations, reservations, and general inquiries.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, maintain accurate records, and assist with scheduling facility rentals.
  • Support communication between patrons and staff, ensuring a high level of customer service and responsiveness to community needs.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patrons and staff; effective oral and written communication.
  • Basic computer skills and experience handling cash transactions (preferred).
Minimum Requirements
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation and some experience in customer service, office support, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia (preferred).
  • One year experience in a day‑care or after‑school setting.
  • Certifications required upon request: ARC Standard First Aid and CPR.
Hours

Hours will vary based on facility operations and may include days, evenings, and weekends.
