Practice at the Highest Clinical LevelYou’ll practice in a Level 1 trauma and 763‑bed academic medical center at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Carilion Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care to a population of over one million across a large rural multi‑state region.
- Manage complex trauma and hospital‑based cases
- Collaborate across specialties
- Contribute to an ACPA‑approved Cleft and Craniofacial Center
- Work alongside specialists in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and prosthodontics
Through your academic appointment with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
, you’ll:
- Teach and mentor General Practice residents
- Engage with medical students and interdisciplinary learners
You’ll have access to research collaboration opportunities through the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute
, Virginia Tech, and other academic partners. Whether your interests include clinical research, translational science, or interdisciplinary collaboration, the infrastructure is here to support your academic growth.
- Completion of a CODA or CDAC‑accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the ABOMS
- Interest in academic appointment and teaching
