Pediatric Surgeon

Carilion Clinic is searching for a pediatric surgeon to join an established group of three pediatric surgeons in Roanoke, Virginia. The provider will practice at Carilion Children's Hospital, a tertiary referral center featuring the only designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center west of Richmond. This position includes opportunities for academic appointment, teaching, and research through the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

• Carilion Children's Hospital serves as the tertiary referral center for a population of 1 million people in southwest Virginia
• Provides a full range of pediatric services including the only designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center west of Richmond
• Carilion Children's is located within Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed teaching/tertiary care center, and is comprised of a standing 8-bed PICU with flex into other critical care areas, a 27-bed inpatient unit, a 60-bed NICU/intermediate nursing unit, and a 27-bed Pediatric Emergency Department
• Section of Pediatric Surgery is in the Department of Surgery which is comprised of 77 faculty surgeons, 55 advanced care practitioners, and 47 residents/fellows in general surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery residencies and surgical critical care and advanced GI/Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowships
• Opportunity for academic appointment to VTCSOM, with research and student teaching opportunities available

Compensation

• Min Starting Salary: $595,369
• Max Starting Salary: $637,256
• Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs
