Provide classroom instruction for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses within the School of Health Professions. Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline and in trends in community college education.

• Teach CPR courses to college students, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of CPR guidelines.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom activities aligned with AHA standards.
• Incorporate technology into instruction, including use of the Canvas Learning Management System for online learning development and teaching.
• Maintain engagement with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.
• Ensure communication of course expectations and learning objectives.

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience as a CPR instructor.
• Current certification as an American Heart Association (AHA) provider for CPR.
• Strong working knowledge of AHA requirements and current emergency cardiovascular care science.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

• Associate's degree in the teaching field.
• Current or recent classroom and/or online teaching experience specifically in a CPR program.
• Previous teaching experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and Microsoft Office programs.
