Special Education Teacher

This full-time Special Education Teacher role focuses on supporting learners with diverse needs across academic and behavioral areas. You will help shape positive learning experiences by delivering individualized instruction, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with educators and families to create engaging, supportive learning environments where students can thrive.
Position Brief:
Caseload focuses on academic support in reading, writing, and math. Implement and monitor IEPs aligned with student goals and district standards. Provide additional instruction in social skills, emotional/behavioral regulation, and executive functioning. Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to create inclusive learning environments.
Requirements Qualified candidates should have experience working in special education or a closely related instructional role, with the ability to support students with diverse learning needs and disabilities. Applicants must hold a valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education or be eligible to obtain one. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, and a master's degree in Special Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of individualized instruction, collaboration, and evidence-based practices that support student growth.
