We are seeking experienced and passionate CDL instructors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on CDL experience and a talent for teaching, helping students develop the skills necessary for safe and successful commercial driving careers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide behind-the-wheel training for CDL students.
- Ensure student safety and compliance with all driving regulations.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate training records.
Special Assignments
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekend.
Additional Considerations
- Prior teaching or training experience is a plus. Reside in Botetourt, Roanoke County.
