Full Time or Part Time: Part Time

Virginia Western Community College is seeking part‑time Engineering Technology/Mechatronics Adjunct Faculty to teach college‑level courses. Faculty will teach in‑person on the main campus or conduct hybrid classes where lectures are online and labs are in‑person. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education, write syllabi and exams, develop learning strategies, curriculum and assessments, and participate in departmental communication.

Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of related occupational experience.

All Adjunct Faculty positions require excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to write syllabi and exams; the ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments; and the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

NOTE:

Adjunct faculty applying to teach OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications in General Industry or Construction must have completed an OSHA Outreach Training Program within the last 5 years.

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Teaching experience at the college level.
