Job DescriptionRegion Five Adult Education is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Instructional Data Aide to support the instructional and administrative functions of our Adult Education programs. The Instructional Data Aide will assist instructors and program staff in maintaining accurate student records, tracking attendance and progress, entering and verifying data in state and regional systems, and supporting instructional testing activities as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, comfort with technology, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced educational environment
Supervisor: Program Manager
Essential Duties- Maintain accurate and timely student records, attendance, assessments, and outcomes in compliance with state and regional guidelines.
- Collect, enter, and verify data into the state-approved database (e.g., LACES or similar).
- Prepare and generate reports for instructors and administrators to monitor program performance and student progress.
- Support instructors by preparing instructional materials and assisting with classroom setup, technology, and student communications.
- Assist in monitoring student goals, testing schedules, and progress tracking.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student records in accordance with FERPA and program policies.
- Collaborate with instructional staff to ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Participate in staff development and team meetings as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Associate’s degree in business, information systems, or related field.
- Experience with data entry, recordkeeping, or educational databases.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Office Workspace tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse adult learners and staff.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of adult education programs or similar educational settings is a plus.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and listen effectively in English.
- Ability to analyze data and generate clear, accurate reports.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Work is typically performed in a classroom while standing or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight.
