Position:
Controls Engineer - Multiple Positions
Duties:
Responsible for focusing on maintaining optimal conditions during the production process, including ensuring a safe working environment, delivering high-quality products/processes and achieving high-performance levels. Take a multidisciplinary approach and effective communication to identify process improvement opportunities, use problem-solving methodologies, and propose solutions for improvements and technological innovation. Follow guidelines from industry standards such as OSHA, IATF, MOS and others. Apply Controls Engineering knowledge and experience to manufacturing processes while maintaining the safest environment possible, quality standards, and productivity o achieve optimal plant performance.
Comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality Systems guidelines currently applicable to the area and the entire plant. Compliance with internal control guidelines, audit and update practices and procedures, and respond to internal and external audits, as needed or requested. Keep constant feedback with the Automation Coordinator. Seek continuous process improvement (productivity and profitability) through the application of engineering principles (process redesign, new technologies, etc.).
Contribute to define and follow the Standards for Controls Engineering. Respond to the production process abnormalities while focusing on continuous process improvements. Execute Cap Ex projects within the stated scope, timing, budget, and resources, as assigned. Create work instructions that benefit the Production and Controls Engineering Teams. Research new technologies and develop new applications that improve overall plant performance. Collaborate, lead, and/or support the design and implementation of new products engineering changes, and processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
1½ years of experience in the job offered, or in an automation, manufacturing, or project engineering position within the automotive frame industry. Experience must include maintaining, troubleshooting, supporting, and improving automated processes. Must have hands-on experience installing, programming and connecting of controls equipment and robots on manufacturing lines. Experience can be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
