Software Engineer, Systems Engineer
Description:Our Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to work across Lockheed Martin Business Areas (BAs) to understand manufacturing execution system (MES) requirements and capabilities. The successful candidate will align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs, generate functional specifications, and collaborate with IT developers to support the development, testing, and deployment of MES capabilities.
Responsibilities- Work closely with stakeholders across multiple Business Areas to understand MES requirements and capabilities
- Align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs
- Translate business requirements and capabilities into functional specifications
- Collaborate with IT developers to support the development of MES capabilities
- Test and validate MES capabilities prior to deployment into production
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of MES solutions
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including leadership, technical teams, and customers
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Note: This role is fully remote. There is no expectation or requirement to live near a LM site or be onsite on any recurring frequency. However, significant travel will be required situationally to meet program needs. Expect 25% - 75% travel.
US citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Experience working with Apriso or other MES systems
- US citizenship is required
- Experience with functional specification development
- Experience with developing and deploying new software tools into production
- Experience with agile development methodologies and IT project management
- Experience leading or working on a scrum team in an Agile environment
- Significant experience with Lockheed Martin Manufacturing processes

The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings. - Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
- Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
