Job Title
This position supports daily manufacturing operations for night-vision component production. The role is highly hands-on and requires working closely with factory teams on the production floor. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise, Lean principles, and Six Sigma tools to improve product quality, increase yield, and streamline processes. This position plays a key role in strengthening operational performance and supporting our mission.
Key Responsibilities- Review and disposition night-vision components in accordance with established procedures.
- Train production employees on processes, standards, and equipment operation.
- Lead or contribute to improvement projects focused on yield, productivity, waste reduction, and product performance.
- Partner with engineering and area leadership to optimize throughput and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Apply and promote Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in daily operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
- Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent technical experience.
- Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience training employees.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
- Experience inspecting or reviewing electrical assemblies.
- Ability to write MS Access queries.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, or SAS.
- Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with conformance testing to applicable MIL-STDs.
- Ability to perform process-engineering tasks appropriate to experience.
