About the Role

Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing and industrial processes, is seeking a skilled Automation Electrical Engineer to enhance their operations in East London . This role is central to optimizing production lines through the implementation and maintenance of sophisticated automation systems. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting electrical control systems that drive efficiency and productivity. This hybrid position allows for effective collaboration within the facility while providing flexibility for other responsibilities, contributing to cutting-edge automation solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems for industrial automation machinery.
  • Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on the production floor, minimizing downtime.
  • Develop electrical schematics and documentation for automation projects using CAD software.
  • Specify and select electrical components, sensors, and control devices.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to integrate automation solutions seamlessly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation and electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming various PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical standards, safety regulations, and control panel design.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and hands-on technical skills.
