Systems Accountant - Finance Systems & Ledger Optimisation
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to join its Finance Systems and Ledger Optimisation team on a 9-12-month contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support key finance systems, enhance reconciliation processes, and contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives within a large, complex environment.
Your new role- Supporting the governance and optimisation of the Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) platform
- Coordinating system maintenance, incident resolution, and change requests
- Monitoring overnight batch processes and system interfaces
- Providing system support and troubleshooting for ARCS users
- Working with Finance and Product System Support teams to implement and validate reconciliation changes
- Supporting data governance activities and user access controls
- Preparing training materials and managing support queues
- Assisting with audit reviews and Finance Systems projects
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- 3+ years' experience in finance or systems accounting, ideally within financial services
- Practical experience with Oracle ARCS is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of Oracle, including configuration and administration
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
- CA/CPA or equivalent
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
- Advanced communication and documentation abilities
- High attention to detail and capable of managing competing priorities
- Strong analytical mindset with a continuous-improvement focus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
