We are motivated and searching for our new Plant Controller for our Roanoke, VA area MFG Plant
. This position has been created due to growth.
We need a doer, a builder, a fixer, and a creator. We need a Plant Controller who is experienced at getting out of their chair and helping drive change on the production floor. We are a multinational company. This is a highly visible role in a high-volume plant. You have a line to the North American VP of Finance and will report to your Divisional Controller, working with them and the Plant Manager as their Strategic Business Partner, overseeing all Finance and Accounting functions for your plant.

Excellent growth potential - 25 locations.

• A hands‑on leader with all the day‑to‑day Plant, Inventory, and Cost Accounting & Analysis
• Somebody who has worked in a manufacturing plant and is comfortable in that setting

• Perform monthly closing of financials for the facility in accordance with GAAP, with full income statement & balance sheet responsibility for the plant location.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting of production and expense metrics to the plant Manager.
• Work in conjunction with the Plant Manager and Divisional leadership to optimize plant performance and drive the annual productivity agenda.
• Prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts comparing projected results to the prior year, budget, and previous forecasts.
• Manage product standard costs, including applying cost changes and analyzing variances to the standard cost.
• Inventory Control for raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and fixed assets. This includes excess and obsolescence reviews, monitoring inventory turn analysis, and leading physical inventory counts.
• Liaison and communicate with Corporate and third‑party stakeholders. This includes providing support for internal audits, external audits, and the corporate Integrated Supply Chain.
• Creation of a capital spending project analysis.
