Job Details:

• Work as a Whole House Float RN covering ICU, PCU, and Medical-Surgical units

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12s standard, 4x12s available upon request)

• Must be comfortable working all three specialties with ratios up to 1:5

• Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, PCU 5:1, MS 6:1 (may flex up to 7:1)

• Float requirements: staffing re-evaluated every 4 hours, potential to float 2-3 times per shift

• Weekend requirement: may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week scheduling block

• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract (two winter holidays required)

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Clinical skills required: IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC line management, central line care, arterial line management, blood product administration

• Advanced skills needed: trach management, ventilator management, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration

• Minimum 2+ years ICU experience from Large L1/L2 facility required

• 24-hour orientation provided

• Must complete billable modules during first week (2-8.5 hours average)

• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period

• Care for adult and geriatric patients

The hospital is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and affiliated with a medical school. The facility features advanced specialty care, a dedicated children's hospital, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
