As an Admissions Coordinator in our Roanoke location, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking help. You’ll manage intake services, coordinate care planning, and build referral networks—all while ensuring a smooth and compassionate admission process. Your role is critical in helping patients begin their recovery journey.
Requirements- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year intake/admissions experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare.
- Preferred:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years of intake/admissions experience in behavioral healthcare.
- Coordinate admissions and discharges for all patients.
- Verify benefit eligibility and insurance coverage.
- Assist with Utilization Review and billing issues.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other fees at admission, during treatment, or at discharge.
- Arrange patient payment plans when necessary.
- Serve as a liaison to patients regarding insurance benefits and coverage.
- Schedule and complete admission assessments and required paperwork.
- Attend team meetings and complete all required training on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
