We are seeking an HR Generalist who thrives in an industrial setting, understands the needs of a 24/7 manufacturing operation, and can support employees across the shop floor, operations, engineering, and support functions.

Position Overview

The HR Business Partner will provide hands-on support for day-to-day HR activities including employee relations, investigations, onboarding, training coordination, HR compliance, and workforce management. This role partners closely with supervisors and managers on the production floor to ensure consistent application of policies, maintain strong employee engagement, and uphold a safe, productive work environment.

This is an on-site role supporting a high-volume manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, questions, and HR support on the shop floor.
  • Conduct timely and thorough employee relations investigations; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support coaching, discipline, and performance improvement plans in alignment with company policies.
  • Partner with leadership to promote retention, morale, and a positive work culture.
  • Assist in hourly and salaried recruiting efforts, including job postings, interview coordination, and shop-floor hiring support.
  • Manage new-hire onboarding, orientation, and facility-specific safety requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with E-Verify, I-9 processes, and secure documentation.

Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Support FMLA/ADA processes, leave administration, and reasonable accommodation discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations in partnership with EHS.
  • Assist in audits, reporting, and HR metrics for leadership.

Training & Development Support

  • Coordinate technical, safety, and compliance training for manufacturing employees.
  • Track mandatory certifications and recertifications.
  • Support development initiatives for supervisors and emerging leaders.

HR Operations

  • Process HR transactions including status changes, attendance updates, and benefits enrollments.
