451 Kimball Ave NE - Roanoke (remote or hybrid possible for residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia)

Role Overview

The Epic Application Analyst III performs system analysis and design for Epic applications, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, implementation, support, training, and reporting. The role also serves as a liaison among TSG groups, clients, and vendors, and may support integrated third‑party applications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intermediate to advanced analysis of Epic application design and system workflows.
  • Independently manage assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Lead requirements gathering and facilitate design sessions with stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into system solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge resources for supported Epic and non‑Epic applications.
  • Develop working knowledge of assigned Epic module(s) and related development and maintenance tools.
  • Assist with implementation of new Epic modules and system enhancements.
  • Provide guidance to team members and assist with mentoring of analysts.
  • Act as a liaison across multiple Epic modules, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Interact professionally with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Apply independent judgment and decision‑making within established guidelines and appropriately escalates issues.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and support optimization efforts.
  • Adhere to application change management processes, including communication, documentation, and post‑change support.
  • Track work effort and communicate project and task status effectively.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 vendor or industry certifications/proficiencies as determined by management, with ongoing maintenance of applicable Epic module certifications.
  • Self‑initiated team player able to work under little supervision.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Dependability, accountability, adherence to documentation and departmental processes, appropriate escalation, and awareness of clinical and compliance impacts.
  • Adaptability, continuous learning, respect for confidential information, and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Flexibility to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support a matrixed workplace with bimodal work principles.
  • Primary work schedule Monday–Friday during standard business hours; role requires flexibility beyond standard hours, including after‑hours on‑call rotation and occasional travel.
