451 Kimball Ave NE, Roanoke. Requisition Number: R161079. Role: EPIC Application Analyst III—Beacon (Open).
- Perform Epic application system analysis and design, including requirements, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation for Epic Beacon.
- Provide application support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting; support integrated third‑party applications as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between TSG groups, clients, and vendors; participate in on‑site or remote/hybrid delivery depending on candidate location.
- Lead requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders; translate business needs into system solutions with minimal supervision.
- Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge resources for supported Epic and non‑Epic (integrated third‑party) applications.
- Build working knowledge of assigned Epic module(s) and related development/maintenance tools; apply in‑depth knowledge across module areas and how they integrate with other Epic systems.
- Assist with the implementation of new Epic modules and system enhancements; mentor and share knowledge with team members; participate in cross‑module collaboration.
- Adhere to application change management processes, communicate changes, document accordingly, and provide post‑change support.
- Track work effort and communicate project and task status; participate in an on‑call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and support optimization efforts.
- Interact professionally with internal and external customers and stakeholders; exercise independent judgment within established guidelines and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Work in a matrixed environment and understand bimodal work principles.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, or business; or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. - Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of related experience. - Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
Obtain and maintain a minimum of 3 vendor/industry certifications as determined by management, following a primary Epic support application proficiency path; maintain certification/proficiency in applicable Epic module(s). - Other
Minimum Qualifications:
Self‑initiated team player with strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; able to work independently and in a team; capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines; effective written, verbal, and presentation communication; ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with documentation and departmental processes; adaptable to change and continuous learning; able to work in a matrixed environment and support bimodal work principles. - Schedule:
Primary Monday–Friday during standard business hours with flexibility for after‑hours on‑call rotation and occasional travel.
