Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine are seeking a Chair of the Department of Medicine to lead its largest department in Roanoke, Virginia. This role offers an opportunity to drive clinical strategy, operations, and academic growth within a nationally recognized, integrated health system. The successful candidate will lead a diverse department of 14 subspecialties and over 320 providers at a 703-bed Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Department of Medicine
• Clinical strategy and operations across a large, diverse department
• Growth of academic programs in partnership with Virginia Tech & the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute shaping a strong integration of clinical care, education, and research

Compensation

• Min Starting Salary: $395,000
• Max Starting Salary: $600,000
• Competitive salary with incentive tied to productivity and quality criteria
