Commercial Lines Underwriting Specialist

Metis is searching for a Commercial Lines Underwriting Specialist to join our Team!

• Evaluate, underwrite, and manage new and renewal Commercial Property and Casualty accounts.
• Determine pricing, classifications, and coverage based on risk analysis and supporting documentation.
• Rate and process policy issuance and servicing transactions, including quotations, new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, audits, and related policy changes.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of commercial lines underwriting, rating, and policy administration experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial Property and Casualty products, underwriting guidelines, ISO manual and forms, and related rating and policy administration systems.
• Located in Roanoke, VA or Richmond, VA

Expected hiring salary range is $55,000-$75,000. Actual offer will be based on a variety of factors including qualifications, credentials, education, experience and location.
