We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project with a strong background in electrical construction to lead and execute complex, high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with a proven record of navigating challenging situations, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering exceptional results.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge of electrical systems, strong project leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will oversee project planning, resource allocation, cost management, scheduling, and coordination with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
This position will play a critical role in mentoring project teams, driving performance, and upholding company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead all phases of projects, including pre-construction planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Develop project budgets, track costs, approve invoices, manage change orders, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved and coordinating with field supervision and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
- Direct and support project engineers, assistant project managers, and field staff. Promote collaboration, accountability, and team development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and other trade partners. Manage communication, updates, and expectations throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, local codes, and industry standards. Oversee QA/QC procedures and resolve technical issues as needed.
- Oversees procurement of materials, equipment, and services. Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and performance.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor safety performance and ensure compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and financial updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical project management.
- Experience collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, and field crews.
- Strong understanding of cost control, change order management, and scheduling principles.
- Deep knowledge of local codes, industry standards, electrical system design, installation practices, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated initiative, works well in a team environment, and adapts easily to collaborating with individuals from various disciplines.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites as needed.

This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary.
Supervisory ResponsibilityDirectly supervises three to eight employees and consultants involved in each project. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
