You’ll lead a production crew on the plant floor, partnering closely with the Process Technical Manager, Quality Manager, Logistics, and other leaders to keep lines running safely, efficiently, and to spec. From the first safety huddle to the last quality check, you’ll set the pace, coach the team, and remove obstacles so people and equipment can perform at their best.
What you’ll lead
Own safety, product quality (visual and dimensional), and output for assigned lines; actively participate in the Safety Committee.
Coordinate daily operations: staffing, time and attendance, task assignment, and policy/procedure administration with accurate documentation.
Continuously monitor production data; collaborate with Quality Control to ensure information is acted on quickly to protect quality and yield.
Serve as the line/equipment expert; troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and provide break relief for mechanical team members when needed.
Drive Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiatives that remove waste, improve OEE, and reduce costs; uphold LSS practices including 5S, TPM, SMED, and 8D.Coach, train, assess, mentor, and when necessary, discipline team members to build capability and performance aligned to Ardagh Core Values.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety Policy, GMPs, and HACCP principles and standards.
Plan and oversee PM activities and repairs; support equipment installations, overhauls, and assigned projects.
Maintain accurate reporting: production, HFI, downtime, MRO usage; maintain parts inventory to support stable operations.
Perform required CVP (quality system) surveillance checks and housekeeping audits (schedule and verify completion).Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education & experience
Associate degree in a related field or 5+ years as a manufacturing lead/supervisor, including employee screening, performance review, counseling, training, and development.
Demonstrated ability to measure performance to goals/standards and drive continuous improvement.
Track record leading teams and fostering collaboration, including highly skilled technicians.
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
7+ years of mechanical/electrical experience in manufacturing; experience in metal manufacturing a plus.
Kaizen / Lean Six Sigma training and experience.
Tools & technology
Proficient with Microsoft applications and common production/maintenance reporting tools.
