Position Summary

The Operations Manager oversees the full lifecycle of facility operations, including production scheduling, logistics, maintenance, inventory control, safety, and daily manufacturing activities related to the production and distribution of chemical products. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and on‑time customer fulfillment while maintaining financial accountability for the facility. Additionally, the Operations Manager drives cross‑functional collaboration between warehousing, production, quality, maintenance, project management, sales, and customer service, and is responsible for the training, development, performance, and leadership of all operations personnel in support of continuous improvement and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily plant operations, production scheduling, and workflow planning
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to meet customer delivery schedules
  • Monitor blending and manufacturing processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Work closely with Purchasing regarding raw materials and inventory needs
  • Supervise plant, logistics, and maintenance personnel
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees
  • Manage production schedules and operational priorities
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and company policies
  • Oversee plant safety initiatives and employee training programs
  • Manage maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability
  • Monitor production output and implement operational improvements
  • Prepare operational and production reports
  • Participate in daily and weekly operations planning meetings
  • Support cost‑saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; however, equivalent manufacturing leadership experience and proven operational success will be strongly considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or operations management
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain and order fulfillment processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Experience with Chempax software preferred
Work Schedule

Monday – Friday
Typically 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This position operates in both manufacturing and office environments. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment, chemicals, and industrial noise levels as required.
