Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for individuals eager to start a hands-on career in metalworking. Youll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills while contributing to the production of custom metal components used in commercial and industrial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fabricating stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, and other miscellaneous metal components.
- Operate basic hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and saws.
- Operate ironworker equipment to punch and shear metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal parts to specification.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Support senior fabricators and welders with daily tasks.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in metalworking or construction is a plus.
- Familiarity with welding (training provided).
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Hands-on training and mentorship.
