Experienced Upholsterer Relocation Opportunity – Bedford, VirginiaRelocation or ability to commute daily to Bedford, VA is required for this position. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
HF Custom, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking experienced Upholsterers to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, Virginia. We are looking for skilled craftspeople with a passion for quality workmanship and experience building upholstered furniture.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUpholster furniture frames according to engineering specifications and quality standards
Apply fabric, padding, foam, and other upholstery materials to furniture components
Install springs, webbing, cushions, and upholstery coverings as required
Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and upholstery equipment safely and effectively
Inspect finished products to ensure quality and appearance standards are met
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals
Qualifications RequiredMinimum 3 years of upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing
Experience upholstering chairs, sofas, sectionals, or other upholstered furniture
Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
PreferredExperience working with custom or higher-end upholstered furniture
Experience with fabric upholstery applications
Experience with vinyl upholstery materials
Please note: Our products are primarily upholstered in fabric, with some vinyl applications. Extensive leather experience is not required.
